This Privacy Policy describes how AgriHub ("AgriHub", "we", "us") handles personal information when you use our mobile application and website (the "Service"). We are committed to being transparent about our practices and to protecting your information.

2. Information we collect

Information you provide

  • Account details — name, phone number or email, role (farmer, shop, or service provider), and password.
  • Profile & listings — business details, products, services, prices, and images you upload.
  • Communications — messages, demands, quotes, reviews, and support requests.
  • Payment information — where you subscribe, billing details processed by our payment partners (we do not store full card numbers).

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — features used, pages viewed, and interactions.
  • Device data — device type, operating system, app version, and general diagnostics.
  • Approximate location — used to show relevant listings and weather (only with your permission).

3. How we use your information

  • Provide, operate, and improve the marketplace and its features.
  • Connect buyers and sellers and enable transactions and messaging.
  • Deliver weather information, agri-tips, and AI-assisted guidance.
  • Send service notifications and, with consent, product updates.
  • Prevent fraud, enforce our Terms, and keep the Service safe.
  • Comply with legal obligations.

Where applicable law requires it, we process personal data on the basis of: performance of our contract with you, your consent, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Service, and compliance with legal obligations.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only as needed to run the Service:

  • Other users — your public profile, listings, and messages are visible to the users you interact with.
  • Service providers — trusted vendors that host our systems, process payments, or deliver notifications, bound by confidentiality obligations.
  • Legal reasons — where required by law or to protect rights, safety, and security.

6. Location & weather data

If you grant permission, we use your approximate location to show nearby listings and localized weather and advisories. You can disable location access at any time in your device settings; some features may then be limited.

7. Data retention

We keep personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When no longer needed, we delete or anonymize it.

8. Security

We use modern technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption of credentials in secure storage and protected network communication. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work continuously to safeguard your information.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, object to certain processing, or withdraw consent. You can manage much of your information in the app, or contact us to exercise your rights.

10. Children's privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, please contact us so we can remove it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, provide additional notice where appropriate.
